I am a loyal Asics wearer and rarely have problems with them,however, this model was very disappointing, especially considering the high price tag. After only a few weeks of running average mileage (10-20 miles per week) the treads were gone on these shoes which lead to pain across the balls of my feet. I poked my big toe through the upper and the laces slip, causing numbness through my toes. Shocked at the lack of durability! Going back to my Kayanos ASAP!
Not for a wider foot. Exceptionally comfortable. Stays tied as you put it. Good cushion for the heel. Good looking, too! Doesn't make your foot look bigger than it is. I wear a ten so that matters.
I seriously love these shoes. I am a nurse in a busy emergency department, and I wear these 36+ hours every week while doing various activities. I haven't had any problem with the fabric over the toes, and I feel that these shoes are well-made. Yes, they are expensive, but I'd rather shell out this much for shoes than $10,000 for surgery to correct my plantar fascist . Plus, look how great they look! I get compliments almost every day.
