Although my first experience with Onitsuka's Ultimate 81 left me wanting a more complete shoe (however great they looked), the Ult-Racer gives me everything in comfort I couldn't find in the other model. Granted, this is only my second pair of Onitsuka's but they've become a favorite. With minimum sole, this pair still provides the sufficient amount of support. I wear them for work and stand for up to ten hours. Holds up nicely with little fatigue. I see myself buying another pair of these Ult-Racers.
First of all, Zappos rocks! I had ordered some Adidas Classic that were nothing comfortable for me. I exchanged them for these awesome Onitsuka's thanks to the great Zappos team service, got 'em next day at my door, tried them on, Wow! Heavenly walking on clouds! Love the style, comfort and perfect support for my low arch. Break in what? This fitted perfectly, no discomfort at all. I used to wear Clarks at work but at the end of the day my feet were tired and fatigued. Now that I'm allowed to wear this, I'm in heaven all day at work. I think I will order another pair, maybe two.The only thing I would like is more variety of colors. Thanks Zappos!
Shoe was tiny bit more narrow than I expected. Returned for free and rcvd different size within days. Would def do more business with Zappos. Love Asics also!
